Some days you’re having so much fun … you forget to write a blog post. The Warriors had a 2-hour workout at East High in Cheyenne, which is about 45 minutes away from Laramie (if you exceed the 70-mph limit). After arriving in Denver this morning, the Warriors visited defensive lineman Kalepo Naotala at the Craig Hospital in Englewood. Naotala is being treated for a spinal injury he suffered during an accident off Waikiki on July 1. He was transferred to Craig, which specializes in neuro rehabilitation. UH media relations director Derek Inouchi provides these photos:

Following the bye weekend, the Warriors were back on the practice field today, competing against the scout units ahead of Saturday’s road game against Wyoming. Two significant things happened: 1) there were several ailing players who missed treatments, and 2) as punishment, the Warriors had to run a series of 110-yard sprints after practice. Sure, it might not be the original Paniolo Trophy. But so what? Sometimes the zaniest Hawaii football plans come from … an assistant coach’s wife. It was Meredith Yoro, wife of safeties coach Jacob Yoro, who learned that the WWE was going to have a show in the Blaisdell Arena during the Warriors’ bye week.
