For June Jones, there will be a second act of Hamilton. Jones said he has agreed to return for a second season with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League. Dejon Allen continued his remarkable week with his selection to the Mountain West first team for football. Allen, who completed his UH eligibility in the past Saturday’s regular-season finale, was named the Warriors’ offensive MVP at the team banquet on Saturday. Dejon Allen has accepted an invitation to play in the Jan. 20 East-West Shrine Game in St. Petersburg, Fla., according to agent Kenny Zuckerman. Allen also was invited to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl at the Rose Bowl. Because the two all-star games are played on the same day, Allen had to make a choice. Former UH linebacker Brenden Daley is being remembered as a tough football player with a kind and witty personality. Daley reportedly died of a brain aneurysm on Wednesday in California.
