One of the most prolific receivers in Warrior football history — John Ursua — has decided to forgo his senior season in 2019 and apply for the NFL Draft. The Warriors end the season with 31-14 loss to Louisiana Tech in the SoFi Hawaii Bowl. The Bulldogs amassed nine sacks, including 2.5 by Jaylon Ferguson. Representatives from both SoFi Hawaii Bowl teams promoted Saturday’s bowl in a brief news conference at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel where Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach served as backdrop. Warriors set to add two receivers

The Warriors are set to add two more receivers on Wednesday, the first day of the early-signing period. James Phillips of Mount San Jacinto College and Jared Smart of Laney College told the Honolulu Star-Advertiser they have accepted scholarship offers from the Warriors. They will sign tomorrow, then enroll at UH in January. Phillips is 5-8 and 160 pounds. He projects to play slotback. Phillips once ran 100 meters in 10.7 seconds. Smart is 6 feet and 180 pounds. Game Day: UH vs. Mississippi Valley State

The 5-4 Rainbow Warriors will be without their best perimeter defender for today’s game against Mississippi Valley State. Sheriff Drammeh is suspended for violating undisclosed rules, head coach Eran Ganot confirmed. This is the final game before next week’s prestigious Diamond Head Classic. The UH football team will be introduced in a ceremony at halftime.
