Isaac Liva, a 2016 Mililani High graduate who was one of the state’s top volleyball players the past three years, is set to join the UH football team. He also will play for the volleyball Warriors. Liva, who will compete at defensive end, is 6 feet 5 and 230 pounds. He has played only one year of organized football. If all goes according to schedule, former Punahou two-sport standout Larry “Tui” Tuileta will enroll at UH as a full-time student in January. Tuileta, who is taking classes at Kapiolani Community College, is seeking enough transferrable credits after transferring from USC in January. That timetable would enable Tuileta to compete for the Warrior volleyball team during the 2017 season. He said he is unsure of his football plans.
