By Stephen Tsai on December 14, 2016Manu Rasmussen, a defensive back from Riverside (Calif.) City College, has accepted a football scholarship from the University of Hawaii. Rasmussen said he will sign a letter of intent today, the first day mid-year transfers may put their commitments in writing. He will enroll at UH-Manoa in January. “It was the whole atmosphere there,” Rasmussen said of his decision. “I have a lot of family there. QB Reilly transferring to Division II team

Reilly, who is taking final exams this week, his wife and their 14-month-old son will be moving on Thursday. They were celebrated in an emotional church service on Sunday. “I’m happy for him,” UH head coach Nick Rolovich said. “I think he’s going to get an opportunity to play.” Reilly initially signed with Colorado State in 2011. Open and then shut
By Stephen Tsai on December 10, 2016This is the penultimate day of this recruiting period. On Monday, the dead period begins, meaning coaches can’t have any in-person contact with a prospect through Jan. 11. The exception is coaches may have contact with a mid-year recruit as long as he’s signed a national letter of intent. Mid-year JC transfers may sign beginning on Wednesday. There are seven prospects on official UH visits this weekend.
