Center Fred Ulu-Perry, who was excused from spring training because of medical and personal reasons, has rejoined the Warriors. Ulu-Perry participated in today’s offseason conditioning/strength workouts. * * * * *
It’s fun to watch brothers KK Padello and Kaimana Padello work out together each morning. They’re both competitive, athletic and diligent — but not unique. There have been many siblings who have played for the Warriors through the years. I’ve compiled a list. It was a busy morning at the Ching Athletic Complex today. The women’s volleyball, track and field, men’s golf and, of course, the football team worked out on the artificial surface and at the cross-training area. There also were officials from a marketing company in town for a meeting and … no, focus, Stephen, focus. Here are the football Warriors.
Spring break has ended, and the Warriors were back in offseason training (early) this morning.
One of the good things UH does is honor the scholarships of players who are no longer medically able to play. Two years ago, there were four football players who took medical retirements. They all ended up graduating or on track to earning a degree. One of the forgotten players was offensive lineman Luke Clements, who had to medically retire last year.
