After a successful tryout this past weekend, former UH defensive back Dejaun Butler has been invited to the New Orleans Saints’ training camp this summer. Butler will compete as a defensive back and special-teams player. After the tryout, Butler met with Saints head coach Sean Payton. Washington head coach Chris Petersen, who led the Huskies to this year’s College Football Playoffs, confirmed today he will be coaching at the UH Elite Camp on June 9-10 on the Manoa campus. Former Warrior defensive back Dejaun Butler has been invited to compete in the New Orleans Saints’ minicamp this weekend. Butler is set to arrive in NOLA today. He will compete as a defensive back and on special teams. Butler played corner, nickel and safety for the Warriors the past two seasons.
