Coming off its first win in February, the Rainbow Wahine basketball team takes some confidence and momentum into today’s regular-season road finale at Cal State Fullerton. The Rainbow Wahine basketball team will attempt to end one streak while extending another. UH (8-17, 4-9 Big West) enters its final road trip of the regular season with a six-game losing streak but have won seven straight in the program’s series with UC Irvine (4-22, 2-10), including a 79-62 win at the Stan Sheriff Center on Jan. 26. Playing a supportive role at UH events the rest of the year, the Rainbow cheerleading team makes its return to the Universal Cheerleaders Association Collegiate National Championships this weekend thanks in part to the backing of fans. Sun and fun in San Diego

SAN DIEGO — The Warriors had a lively 90-minute walk-through session this morning at the University of San Diego’s lower practice field. USD is a postcard-perfect campus. Jim Harbaugh used to coach the Toreros. The campus also features the Jenny Craig Pavilion. It used to seat more but now slimmed down to 5,000 seats. (Yuck, yuck.)
