Junior opposite Rado Parapunov put down 15 kills and No. 1 Hawaii continued its undefeated season with a 25-20, 25-16, 25-16 victory over Concordia-Irvine in a nonconference men’s volleyball match today in Concordia, Calif. For the first time since April 13, 2015, the Hawaii men’s volleyball team is No. 1 in the AVCA Coaches Top 15. The Rainbow Warriors (20-0) received all 16 first-place votes in the rankings released today.It is the program’s 30th time at No. 1. Hawaii sweeps Princeton, SandBows sweep ASU; BYU upset

Senior hitter Stijn van Tilburg put down 11 kills and junior hitter Colton Cowell added 10 as No. 2 Hawaii remained undefeated with a 25-17, 25-18, 25-22 sweep of Princeton today at the Brigham Young Invite men’s volleyball tournament in Provo, Utah. It was the 19th consecutive sweep for the Rainbow Warriors (19-0), who ran their NCAA-record sets-won streak to 57 after 93 minutes. The Tigers (10-11) were led by Parker Dixon’s 11 kills. Behind senior hitter Stijn van Tilburg’s 18 kills, No. 2 Hawaii remained undefeated at 18-0, sweeping McKendree 25-10, 25-19, 25-18, at the Brigham Young Invite in Provo, Utah.
