Kyra Hanawahine, a Kamehameha Schools grad, has transferred from Oregon. She was not cleared to play in the NCAA tournament. She joins Jolie Rusmussen as a former Duck to Manoa; Rasmussen’s transfer was announced on Dec. 25. Hanawahine, a defensive specialist, will have two seasons at Hawaii. From USA Volleyball A team of beach players added a few layers and won the first U.S. medal in snow volleyball on Saturday, winning gold on the Moscow stop of the 2019 CEV Snow Volleyball Tour. Top-ranked Stanford advanced to the NCAA women’s volleyball championship match for the 16th time following a 25-15, 25-15, 25-18 sweep of Brigham Young on Thursday in Minneapolis.
