Congrats to Hanna Hellvig, another Freshman of Week honor. From the Big West: Hanna Hellvig claimed her second Women’s Volleyball Freshman of the Week award, leading No. 11 Hawai’i to a pair of wins over the weekend for a 2-0 start to conference play. Our breaking news story: Freshman hitter Hanna Hellvig tied her career-high with 17 kills and No. 11 Hawaii won its Big West opener, turning back Long Beach State 25-16, 21-25, 25-21, 25-16 today in Long Beach, Calif. Rainbow Forecast: Hawaii football, volleyball begin conference play on mainland

Hawaii’s football and volleyball teams have synched up and will begin their respective Mountain West and Big West conference schedules on the mainland this week.
