Former Rainbow Wahine basketball and volleyball player Megan Huff confirmed in a message to the Star-Advertiser that she will continue her college career at Utah. Koloi joins Rainbow Wahine signing class

The Rainbow Wahine basketball program announced the signing of Keleah-Aiko Koloi today, making the Lahainaluna senior the seventh member of next season’s freshman class. Koloi, a 6-foot-1 forward, played primarily in the post while helping the Lunas claim the MIL title each of her four years. Lahainaluna reached the state title game her sophomore and junior seasons and fell to Maryknoll in the semifinals of this year’s Division I state tournament despite Koloi’s 23-point, 13-rebound performance. University of Hawaii guard/forward Destiny King received the Ah Chew Goo/Most Valuable Player award at the Rainbow Wahine basketball team’s postseason banquet on Saturday. King averaged a team-high 10.4 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in her senior season while helping the Wahine capture the Big West tournament title and the program’s first NCAA tournament berth since 1998. The University of Hawaii women’s basketball team learned on Monday it would face UCLA in the first round of the NCAA tournament. The Rainbow Wahine held their first practice in advance of the matchup on Tuesday and got their first look at Pauley Pavilion on Friday.
