After yesterday’s loss to UC Irvine in the Big West tournament, the Fire Gib Arnold crowd is out in force, as expected. I certainly agree that the Rainbow Warriors weren’t ready to play Thursday, and a 44-22 halftime deficit is horrendous and too much to come back from. It’s pretty easy to see why Hawaii lost to Cal State Fullerton 66-51 today in the women’s Big West tournament. Turnovers. The Rainbow Wahine gave up the ball 22 times, and the Titans were credited with 17 steals. Give Fullerton a lot of credit for a second-consecutive upset in the tournament, especially considering the program is enduring despite the murder of assistant coach Monica Quon last month.
