Five from UH at World University Games

Before joining the Rainbow Wahine golf team this fall, Eimi Koga is spending part of her summer representing the country at the World University Games in Gwangju, South Korea. The Moanalua graduate is part of the three-member U.S. team and shot a 4-over-par 76 at Naju Gold Lake Country Club on Wednesday. She was tied for 21st after the first round. Golf: Leung wins Big West award

Izzy Leung’s first collegiate victory and another top-10 finish helped the Rainbow Wahine sophomore earn the Big West September Women’s Golfer of the Month award on Thursday. Leung opened the season by shooting a personal-best round of 67 on her way to claiming individual medalist honors at the Oregon State Invitational, held Sept. 15-16 in Corvallis, Ore.
