Chevan Cordeiro threw for 410 yards and four touchdowns to boost Hawaii to a 39-33 victory over New Mexico at Aloha Stadium. Cordeiro helped rally the Rainbow Warriors from a 20-7 deficit in the second quarter to improve to 2-1. The Lobos fell to 0-2. The Warriors rolled up 505 yards. Wyoming ran often and then ran away to a 31-7 victory over Hawaii at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie, Wyo. The Cowboys’ ground game accounted for 281 of their 393 yards. Xazavian Valladay rushed 163 yards and Trey Smith gained 89 yards. They each scored two touchdowns. The Cowboys controlled the clock for 38 minutes, 15 seconds. Hawaii runs away to a 34-19 season-opening victory over Fresno State, amassing 324 rushing yards in Todd Graham’s debut as the Rainbow Warriors’ head coach.
