She has a bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount and a master’s from Long Beach State. “I think she’s the best,” baseball coach Mike Trapasso said. “We’ll miss her. It’s […]

By Stephen Tsai on May 26, 2018

UH’s 2017-18 athletic year concluded at around 2 p.m. Hawaii time when left fielder Johnny Weeks made the final putout of the baseball ’Bows’ 10-6 victory over UC Santa Barbara. What began with a Week Zero game against … — oh, heck, was it, UMass? — what seemed like a long, long time ago ended on a windy day in the “American Riviera.” All in all, it was kinda fun. * * * * * Today’s baseball game also marked […]

UH has a new travel partner

By Stephen Tsai on May 22, 2018

After nearly 20 years, the UH athletic department is getting a new travel partner. JTB Hawaii, whose bid recently was accepted, will be handling travel arrangements for all the UH teams. JTB Hawaii takes over on July 1. The change ends Panda Travel’s association with UH athletics, a partnership that began after former Gov. Ben Cayetano solicited sponsors for the football program.
