Defensive lineman Foi Shaw’s dog, Haven, loves to steal his blanket at night. Shaw and his family decided every dog should enjoy such creature comforts. They made it a pet project to donate blankets to the Humane Society. This past week, they fulfilled that pledge turning over 100 blankets donated by Delta Air Lines and American Airlines. “I love animals,” Shaw said. “My family and I took it upon ourselves to help give dogs extra care.” UH coach Nick Rolovich […]

Dakota Torres‘ move from slotback to linebacker is not unique. As a tight end/H-back through the 2017 season, Torres was a physical player who enjoyed contact. Even at slotback, where he relocated at the start of spring training, he brought an extra oomph to each play. Before today’s practice, quarterback Cole McDonald called over several of his teammates. McDonald reminded the players of the feeling following Saturday’s 28-21 loss to Army, their first defeat of the season. “Remember how that felt,” McDonald said he told teammates. “I know I don’t want to feel like that again.
