Cindy Luis covers University of Hawaii volleyball for the Star-Advertiser. She began her career as a sports journalist in Hawaii in 1981 with the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and was the sports editor, assistant sports editor, columnist and beat writer during a 31-year span before the paper became the Star-Advertiser. She graduated from UCLA in 1977 with a B.A. in Communication Studies.

Warriors finish 3-0; vote for tourney MVP

No. 4 Hawaii swept its two matches today, defeating No. 13 Grand Canyon 25-21, 25-20, 25-21 followed by the 25-18, 25-13, 25-15 win over Lincoln Memorial. Warriors are 6-0, GCU 5-1. Warrior match postponed today

Inclement weather cited as reason for Hawai’i match vs Lincoln Memorial postponed until Sunday Hawai’i to play 2 Vs LM and Grand Canyon Hawai’i’s opening match will now be against Barton College, Saturday at 3 HST The Rainbow Warriors will play two matches on Sunday – versus Grand Canyon at 7:30 a.m. Hst and Lincoln Memorial at 10:30 a.m. HST All three matches will be streamed on Facebook Live via Off The Block Facebook page (/offtheblockvolleyball).
