Named to the second team was junior setter Joe Worsley while sophomore middle Patrick Gasman and opposite Rado Parapunov were honorable mention. There were 10 players on each of the first and second teams. Only Long Beach State had more: 3 first team and 1 2nd. […]

I would expect at least a couple of first team, maybe second team. Beach selection show is Sunday during the BWC pairs event at Queens not quite sure why folks had problems finding the beach bracket. been up on UH’s website for a few days http://hawaiiathletics.com/news/2018/4/20/womens-beach-volleyball-sandbows-host-2018-big-west-tournament.aspx In the big green box at left, there are links for […]
Apologies. Been traveling all day And in the middle of a couple of VB-related stories latest RPI finally released. No surprise. UH 4, UCI 6 https://www.ncaa.com/rankings/volleyball-men/nc/nc-mens-volleyball-rpi Strength of schedule: UH 1, UCI 10 Doesn’t sound like there is any recourse. Have not heard from Matlin if he is filing a complaint Oh, not that the poll matters but the coaches voted UH 4, UCI 5 https://www.avca.org/polls/dii-men/4-23-2018.html

Instead, UC Irvine (21-9), which lost to Hawaii twice this season, was chosen as the second team from the Big West. It was a stunning selection in that Hawaii was the only team to defeat both […]
