Cindy Luis covers University of Hawaii volleyball for the Star-Advertiser. She began her career as a sports journalist in Hawaii in 1981 with the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and was the sports editor, assistant sports editor, columnist and beat writer during a 31-year span before the paper became the Star-Advertiser. She graduated from UCLA in 1977 with a B.A. in Communication Studies.

From UH The Rainbow Warrior men’s volleyball pair of Brett Rosenmeier and Colton Cowell fell in the championship match of the USAV Collegiate Beach Championship Saturday to Florida State’s Jon Justice and Adam Wienckowski, 15-21, 28-26, 15-12. The UH duo, who finished fourth in this event last year, went 3-1 record duirng this year’s tournament. Rosenmeier-Cowell advance to Saturday’s final

Hawaii’s Brett Rosenmeier and Colton Cowell will play for the title of the USAV Collegiate Beach Volleyball Championship on Saturday after advancing with Friday’s semifinal win at Hermosa Beach, Calif.
