The Hawaii basketball team has reached an agreement to play North Carolina on Nov. 20, 2020 in the Stan Sheriff Center. It will be the first meeting between the teams since 2016, when the game drew a capacity crowd in Manoa. Here’s a Halloween treat for UH basketball supporters: Leland Green said he expects to be available to play in Friday’s exhibition against Hawaii Pacific. Green has been recovering from a shoulder ailment and ensuing corrective procedure. He did not play in the Green-White scrimmage a couple weeks ago. Forwards Noah Allen and Mike Thomas are on training camp rosters for two teams in the G League (formerly the D-League), the NBA’s up-and-coming minor league that now features 27 franchises. Piāikea Kitamura, a versatile player during his UH career, has joined the Rainbow Warriors’ baseball staff as a volunteer assistant. Kitamura is a Kamehameha-Kapalama alumnus who was valued at UH as an infielder, backup catcher and leader. Jerry Kleman, an assistant coach last year, departed the program this summer.
