Dominic Drury has been promoted from graduate manager to the Hawaii basketball team’s assistant director of basketball operations. The past season was Drury’s first with the Rainbow Warriors after serving as Saint Mary’s student manager for four years. Drury had served the ‘Bows’ marketing coordinator and coordinator of the managers, as well as assisting with videos, facility scheduling, statistical analysis, scouting and practice preparation. There is a possibility a good recruiting month might become even better for the Hawaii basketball team. After receiving signed 2019 commitments from Justin Webster and Bernardo da Silva, the Rainbow Warriors learned they are in the running for Lok Wur of Papillion-La Vista South High in Nebraska. Hawaii basketball gets commit from 6-9 Bernardo da Silva

The University of Hawaii basketball team today secured a commitment from a post player from one of the country’s top high school basketball teams. Bernardo da Silva of Wasatch Academy in Mount Pleasant, Utah, will sign a scholarship agreement and join the Rainbow Warriors this summer. Former Hawaii men’s basketball guard Phil Handy is an NBA champion once again. Handy, who won a title with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016, can get a second finger fitted for a ring after the Toronto Raptors defeated the Golden State Warriors in six games on Thursday night in Oakland for the franchise’s first championship.
