After 27 years, Jeff Portnoy will no longer serve as color analyst for ESPN Honolulu’s broadcasts of UH basketball games. A spokesman for the all-sports station said the decision was based on maintaining the broadcast “continuity” for home and road productions. Portnoy worked on broadcasts from the Stan Sheriff Center. Former head coaches Riley Wallace and Bob Nash were among the more than 500 people who attended the University of Hawaii men’s basketball Tip-Off fundraiser at the Stan Sheriff Center on Thursday.
