Hawaii women’s volleyball: Rainbow Wahine in Madison

Hawaii flew direct from Honolulu to Chicago then to Madison. Plane had to be de-iced before taking off from O’Hare. I got in via Atlanta about an hour after they did. Temperatures were around 10-12 degrees. Lowest windchill that I saw was minus-2. Team got some breakfast before checking in and some rest, then videos. Closed practice this evening.

Congratulations to Robyn Ah Mow, today named Pacific North Region Coach of the Year. Norene Iosia was named to the first team, while Hanna Hellvig and Amber Igieda were honorable mention. Hawaii women’s volleyball: NCAA tickets available for UH fans

Hawaii has put its allotment on sale. Don’t know how many are available. Orders can be placed on eTicketHawaii.com or by calling the Stan Sheriff Center Ticket Office (808-956-4482). Deadline to order is Wednesday at 11 a.m. or until our allotment is filled. Four tickets per person. There is a priority list. See this link for more info. The ticket packages to the general public were sold out in 19 minutes according to Wisconsin’s twitter.

Hawaii’s run to the sweet 16 of the NCAA women’s volleyball tournament went a bit easier than expected.
