Hawaii women’s volleyball: Hanna Hellvig freshman of week, Wahine RPI 10, up to No. 21 in poll

Congrats to Hanna Hellvig, the Big West Freshman of the Week. Hellvig claimed her third such honor after leading Hawaii to a pair of victories last week. The 6-foot-2 outside hitter had a team-leading 26 total kills for the week as the Rainbow Wahine swept UC Riverside and upended UC Davis in five sets on the 25th anniversary of the Stan Sheriff Center. Hawaii women’s volleyball: Brooke Van Sickle rides to the rescue

Brooke Van Sickle didn’t think she’d be playing over the weekend. The junior hitter only just returned to practice with her Hawaii teammates on Thursday from a knee injury that’d caused her to miss three matches heading into the week’s games against UC Riverside and UC Davis.
