The hot sun beat down on player, coach, and reporter alike at the Manoa grass practice field on Monday. Understandably, linebacker Jeremiah Pritchard asked if he could strip off his pads before granting a post-practice interview request. James Phillips made quite the first impression at Aloha Stadium. Kai Kaneshiro’s natural instincts have been unleashed. Kaneshiro, a Saint Louis School graduate who’s in his second fall camp with Hawaii, is still a defensive back.
