Ozee-Homayun lose 17-15. but UH wins 3-2.
High drama on 1 and 2. I suppose it’s against NCAA regs for UH (maybe unofficially) to stream the matches on Periscope?
Very impressive to comes back from 3 set points against USC’s #1s. Graudina has not lost a college match yet until today! Great job at 4s as well to come back and get a point. Two 3-2 head-to-head wins will bode well for an at large if it comes to that.
Lots of other teams stream on Periscope.
Sorry. 4’s lost but did well to take it to 3.
Hawaii had only defeated USC once since 2012 prior to Saturday’s 3-2 victory at Queen’s Beach.
Today, the Rainbow Wahine doubled up their wins in less than 24 hours with another 3-2 nail-biter. Emily Maglio and Ka’iwi Schucht held off three match points to defeat Tina Graudina-Abril Bustamante at the No. 1 flight, to clinch the dual in the Outrigger Resorts Invitational.
Maglio-Schucht, moving up from Flight 2, pulled out a 19-21, 21-14, 18-16 win to give No. 5 Hawaii a 3-1 lead against No. 3 USC. The Women of Troy (11-6) picked up their final point at No. 4 when Jo Kremer-Jenna Belton rallied past Amy Ozee-Ari Homayun, 21-19, 13-21, 17-15.
USC, the three-time defending national champion, concluded the two-day event at 3-2.
Hawaii (11-3) improved to 4-0 in the tournament and 3-12 alltime against USC. The SandBows will play No. 12 Grand Canyon and unranked Nebraska later today.
1. Maglio-Schucht (UH) def. Graudina-Bustamante, 19-21, 21-14, 18-16
2. Slater-Cannon (USC) def. Kan-Weaver, 19-21, 21-19, 15-7
3. Monkhouse-Martin (UH) def. Dennis-Halgren, 21-18, 21-19
4. Kremer-Belton (USC) def. Ozee-Homayun, 21-19, 13-21, 17-15
5. Dreeuws-Zalopany (UH) def. Green-Poletto, 24-22, 21-16
Peri Green freshman from La Pietra.
Hawaii flipped its 1-2 pairs from Saturday
SC flipped its 4-5 pairs from Saturday and, at 5, used Peri Green instead of Kernochan.
Great win again.
I like moving Mags/shucht up they match up better against Graudina.
I think Uh has a chance to be better than SC for a few more seasons, Weaver Schucht and kan will be big losses, but the canadian recruits look very good and Pani Napoleon as a redshirt freshmen should be great and hopefully Hall can pick up a big transfer.

new thread up for MVB at Pepperdine
Hawaii sweeps Grand Canyon 5-0 But last 3 duals went 3
Weaver has sore shoulder Luyties teams with Kan at 3
I went to check out the Nebraska/UH game and I like Lea Monkhouse. I think she is ahead of where Morgan Martin was last season. Lea has better ball control and can dig and pass better. Martin is the better of the two in terms of blocking but Lea has a more complete game.
Think both are pretty equal. very experienced players before getting to UH.
UH sweeps Nebraska 5-0 in straight sets.
Kan takes the Aloha Spirit Award.
