After a loooong road trip to Laramie and a short mourning period, the Warriors were back practicing this morning on the grass field. The Warriors spent extended sessions working on CSU’s schemes. During today’s news conference, CSU coach Mike Bobo noted how the Warriors employed a physical running attack. The statistics prove that point. The Warriors are averaging 215.5 rushing yards per game in 2017. That’s the highest average since 223.4 in 1995, the last season the Warriors ran the triple-option offense. Even in 2010, when the Alex Green ran for a school-record 327 yards against New Mexico State, the Warriors averaged 114.6 rushing yards per game.
