Makana Garrigan, who has served on the UH football coaching staff the past three seasons, has joined Maine as a running backs coach. Garrigan is reunited with assistant head coach Pat Denecke, who is the Black Bears’ run-game coordinator and offensive line coach. Jake Thomas, who worked with the offensive line as a graduate assistant, is returning to his alma mater — Azusa Pacific — as the offensive line coach.
