Coach Norm Chow announced that quarterback Sean Schroeder will take the first UH snap in tomorrow’s homecoming game against Colorado State at Aloha Stadium. In Norm Chow’s 40 years of coaching, there were two opposing defensive linemen who forced Chow’s staffs to change their usual blocking schemes — Dwight Freeney and Al Noga. “You couldn’t block them the way you would normally block a scheme,” Chow said. The referee usually has to be alerted when an offensive lineman will be used as an eligible receiver. It appears that running back Faga Wily, who continues to experience problems from a concussion, will be shut down for the rest of the season. Wily provided a boost to the power running game in Joey Iosefa’s absence in the first two games. But he hasn’t played or practiced since suffering a concussion during a bye-week scrimmage.
