Quarterback Taylor Graham and offensive lineman Kody Afusia are candidates for offseason operations. Both endured arm injuries the second half of the season. Graham started the first three games before suffering a dislocation to his left (non-throwing) shoulder. While the Warriors are in full recruiting mode, a special emphasis is on junior-college transfers. Mid-year transfers — junior college players — may signing letters of intent beginning on Dec. 18. The Rainbow Warrior football will have a memorial service for running back Willis Wilson on Monday, Dec. 9, in the Stan Sheriff Center. The service is open to the public. The time has not been determined, although initial plans call for it to be held in the evening. Wilson, 21, died of an apparent drowning off Sandy Beach this past Saturday.

The Rainbow Warriors had their final team meeting of the year this morning, followed by their final training table of the year. A couple of hours later, the coaches met. Some of the coaches hit the road Wednesday for recruiting. Running back Willis Wilson apparently drowned off Sandy’s this morning. He was among a group of three men and two women who were wading in shallow water this morning. After a while, they noticed he was missing. HFD and Coast Guard rescuers were summoned. Wilson’s body was recovered at dawn. Wilson transferred from Washington this past summer.
