Mililani receiver to join Warriors

Mililani slotback Kainoa Wilson said he will join the Warriors in 2015. Wilson suffered a broken collarbone in the 2014 opener against Saint Louis, a game in which he caught two scoring passes. He missed the next six games, but returned to catch seven passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns against Kaiser. He had two scoring catches in the state championship game against Punahou. Running back D.J. Riggins has removed his gray shirt and is set to join the Warriors in 10 days. He said he is healthy, fit and feels “great going into Hawaii.” Riggins, a 2014 Oaks Christian School graduate, underwent surgery for a “slight tear” in his left labrum this past April. The volleyball Warriors opened camp today at a camp. This morning, they departed in two UH vans and coach Charlie Wade’s truck to Camp Erdman on the North Shore. They will train there for three days, with practices at Waialua High, ahead of Saturday’s non-conference opener against Stevens Institute of Technology (Hoboken, N.J.). Seeking paradise

On the last day of UH’s fall semester, the Warriors continue to receive inquiries from Division I players seeking to transfer to the Manoa campus this coming year. It’s not always an easy process.
