While Kawika Borden awaits word on whether he gets a sixth UH season and Iolani senior Kamuela Borden prepares to sign with UH before going on a church mission, a third Borden brother projects to play for the Warriors this season. Noah Borden, who played basketball and football at Kamehameha, has served a church mission in Las Vegas the past two years. Fifty-five Warriors had GPAs of 3.0 or better this past semester. The quarterbacks were the highest-ranking position, with an average GPA of 3.26. Among the top scorers were walk-on running back Jason Muraoka (3.69), left tackle Ben Clarke (3.56) and tight end Harold Moleni (3.60).

Colton Goeas — a Saint Louis School graduate and son of former NFL player Leo Goeas — is transferring from Kansas to UH. Goeas, who is 6 feet 2 and 240 pounds, was the backup to inside linebacker Ben Heeney, the past season. Goeas redshirted in 2013. Goeas will redshirt in 2015 as a condition of transferring.
