By Stephen Tsai on July 17, 2015

The unsupervised workouts usually consist of 7-on-7 drills. This time, the Warriors included 11-on-11 sets. That allowed some of the young linemen to hone their footwork. * * * * * The Rainbow Wahine volleyball team also is out early as part of offseason conditioning drills.

UH awaits project’s opening

By Stephen Tsai on July 16, 2015

If everything goes according to plan, the renovated athletic-training facility will be fully operational by Aug. 1. That will be just in time for the opening of the Warriors’ training camp on Aug. 4. It also will provide relief for achy players. The facility’s iced-water tubs are not yet available to players participating in the offseason conditioning program. UH is awaiting final inspection from the vendors. When approval is finalized, UH will accept the project. * * * * *

By Stephen Tsai on July 15, 2015

The Warriors were on the clock. The unsupervised workouts (focusing mostly on 7-on-7 drills) started at 4:30 p.m. sharp and were set to run, at most, for about 90 minutes. That was because the prepaid meals at the UH cafeteria would be served only until 6:30 p.m. But the players kept yelling “two more.” Not two more plays, but two more series. On their own (part 1)

By Stephen Tsai on July 12, 2015

When the strength/conditioning coaches are away, the Warriors come out to play, with unsupervised workouts. Because I’m enlarging the pics, we’re splitting the gallery into parts.

Updates: Jordan Wynn, Phil Rauscher

By Stephen Tsai on July 11, 2015

> Jordan Wynn has joined Fresno State as a graduate assistant. He is reunited with FS offensive coordinator Dave Schramm, who had coached at Utah, where Wynn played quarterback collegiately. Wynn joined the Warriors as a GA in January 2013, then was placed in charge of quarterbacks after OC Aaron Price was fired in August 2013. In 2014, he was promoted to full-time assistant coach with play-calling responsibilities. He departed the Warriors in March after the Warriors reorganized the coaching […]
