Forty-two months after signing with the UH football team, playmaker John Ursua will be joining the Warriors. Ursua said he earned admission into UH, and will participate in training camp. The initial plan calls for Ursua to redshirt this season. Ursua signed with UH in 2012 with the intent of going on a two-year church mission. UH is among eight MWC football programs that will offer cost-of-attendance stipends, league officials confirmed. Cost of attendance is the amount needed to cover expenses above a full scholarship’s coverage of tuition, room, board, books and mandatory fees. COA is based on a federal index in each school’s area. For nearly two weeks, every day is father’s day for nose tackle Kory Rasmussen. “It’s cool,” said Rasmussen, whose girlfriend, Rae, gave birth to the couple’s son, Kruse.
