Downtown rally today; season-ticket sales begin

Bishop and King might sound like chess pieces, but they actually are the street locations for today’s Downtown Rally. Between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the corners of Bishop and King, UH coaches and student-athletes will be available for a meet-and-greet. Bobby Curran is the emcee. Congratulations to these free-agent signings: > Leo Koloamatangi has reached a free-agent deal with the Detroit Lions, agent Adam Snyder confirmed to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser. Koloamatangi, who can play all five line positions, is viewed as a center/guard. > Rigo Sanchez also told the Star-Advertiser he has reached an agreement with the Indianapolis Colts. > Marcus Kemp said he has reached a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Warriors complete spring program

After 268 days, the Warriors’ 2016-17 football season has ended. The Warriors closed their four-week, spring-workout program this morning with a grueling session in which one player displayed, um, a digestive incident. But overall it was a productive year — from training camp to the season to the bowl game to the first offseason program to spring training to the second offseason program. Warriors get rings of honor

At the end of each exit interview yesterday, Nick Rolovich gave each player a Hawaii Bowl championship ring. It was part of the gift package each bowl team is permitted to give its players.

Nick Rolovich is conducting exit interviews with his players beginning today. This is the last week of the spring conditioning drills. The last day of spring classes is next Wednesday. Final-exam week begins Monday, May 8. Rolovich received this dashiki from linebacker Ikem Okeke’s parents. (Note the new Eddie Aikau poster on Rolo’s office wall.)
