I am traveling to mainland so on and off the blog the next few days. Appreciate the heads up on previous thread Mike Hebert, who coached at New Mexico, Illinois and Minnesota among other places, was a kind man and great coach. Hawaii men’s volleyball: Warriors on road for fall matches, roster up

The 2020 roster is up (without bios on the new guys) Click here Warriors are at UC Santa Barbara Wednesday, UC Irvine Thursday, CSUN Friday and Long Beach State Saturday. Saturday the Warriors play Beach at 10 a.m., USC at 11:45 in the Pyramid. They’ll play Beach again 3 p.m. in the Gold Mine.

Hawaii women’s volleyball: Hanna Hellvig freshman of week, Wahine RPI 10, up to No. 21 in poll

Congrats to Hanna Hellvig, the Big West Freshman of the Week. Hellvig claimed her third such honor after leading Hawaii to a pair of victories last week. The 6-foot-2 outside hitter had a team-leading 26 total kills for the week as the Rainbow Wahine swept UC Riverside and upended UC Davis in five sets on the 25th anniversary of the Stan Sheriff Center. Former Hawaii All-Americans Emily Hartong, Katie Spieler and Karissa Cook helped the U.S. women win gold and Punahou grads Trevor Crabb, Maddison and Riley McKibbin the men’s gold Wednesday at the ANOC World Beach Games in Doha, Qatar.
