Day off. Just saw the madness, which bordered on libel.

I couldn’t delete some of the name calling without deleting other comments

So the thread has gone to the great cyber graveyard.

When there is something to report, it will be reported.

Croson’s issue is between her and the coaches. Have been saying this for several weeks. Her decision to stay or go.

So who is else is possibly leaving? Any of the walk-ons besides Kristina Kam?

Thank you for letting some of the air out of the insanity. Cindy. I understand that so many are passionate about this team and have opinions they wish to air, but as a simple fan I try to support and can wait for the truth to be revealed. Too bad some others only wish to state their “ideas” and or air their grievences in this mode. Love and support 100% the Bows. Go Wahine!

Good Job Cindy!! Its easy for people to hide behind the anonymity of the internet & say ridiculous things not based in any sort of fact or reason. Don’t be afraid to shut them down as needed….its makes life easier for the rest of us!!

Have not heard of any other walk-ons leaving besides Kam.
Doesn’t mean it won’t happen. the most definitive answer will be the first day of practice in Aug.
And you never know who might show up to get a walk-on trial.
Have seen a couple of times where walkon players show up for the first of 2-a-days and don’t come back after lunch.

As for the insanity, I am not on 24-7. Yesterday was a day off and I was out doing errands, lunch with friends, etc.
Amazed by where the thread had gone in less than 12 hours.

Just wondering, if Croson does leave, NOT SAYING SHE IS, would Shoji try getting a transfer or try to recruit another hitter?

  8. dedicatedfan May 1, 2013 10:09 am

Shoji would need to get another hitter who can play a solid back row. None of the current players have shown that they can, except for Jane. Otherwise, it will be a very weak spot for the Wahine next year, which teams will exploit.

    6. When I last had contact with Shoji, he said no transfer was in line. But that dependent on Croson staying. At the moment, there is no scholarship available.

From Tako, whose post has been lost in cyberland:

One of the best players in UH history is currently playing at UH. Very talented and she is a great representative of our program and state. She has earned her awards and recognized as a tireless worker. Let’s use her as a role model, 6 feet 2 inches and a long, lean, green machine and still going. – “where your attention goes, energy flows.”
Emily Hartong is a player that truly represents our institution and a good role model for the young ‘ums.

If for arguments sake Croson does transfer. Do you think there’s a chance Passi (I hope I’m spelling her name right) takes the scholarship and is activated?

Taylor Crabb is the National Player of the Year

  13. Cindy Luis May 1, 2013 5:42 pm

thanks, VBF. saw it and trying to put together a story since no release yet.

  14. Cindy Luis May 1, 2013 5:43 pm

    11. could happen but we’ll just have to wait to see how it plays out.

  15. Warriorfan May 1, 2013 6:21 pm

    11. that’s a good idea, Passi might make up for the loss of Croson for sure, there games seem similar. But I bet Shoji will try to get in someone else too.

  16. Hot May 2, 2013 5:03 pm

Isn’t Passi too small to play front row? Considering they say Long (listed at 5-11) is too small to do so, hence the DS role she played last year. Unless Passi can match Croson’s (or Satele’s)front row skills, it may be unlikely for her to play front row full-time. Perhaps she might have the same role as Long, play mostly back row and take the occasional swing. Of course, this is assuming that Croson leaves and that Kastl and Goodman become decent hitters (percentage-wise) in their final season.
