Hawaii sophomore safety Khoury Bethley was named to the Associated Press’ All-Bowl team, a collection of players that included every FBS postseason game except the upcoming College Football Playoff national championship between LSU and Clemson.

LSU quarterback Joe Burrow, the Heisman Trophy winner, headlined the list of 31 players spanning the 39 games played.

Bethley, who recorded 10 solo tackles and two interceptions — including the game-clincher — in the 38-34 win over BYU in the SoFi Hawaii Bowl, was one of six players named to the all-bowl secondary by the AP.

The recognition earned a shout-out from UH defensive coordinator Corey Batoon.

In case you missed it, here’s clips of Bethley’s game-clinching pick against BYU and what he had to say at the postgame press conference.

In case anyone is interested in the new TV deal for MWC football, here’s an excerpt:

Hawaii is expected to receive a piece of the pie while retaining broadcast rights for home games through local pay-per-view Spectrum Sports. A maximum of four UH games will be featured on the two national networks per year.
