Hawaii men’s volleyball: Rainbow Warriors release 2020 schedule

Why so many weak teams in the first half of the schedule. Is there a problem scheduling the MPSF teams that we traditionally have scheduled in the past. No UCLA, USC, etc. Went to see this team play at Irvine and we are definitely title contenders again. They played lights out looking like the seasoned team they return and the new guys are outstanding. The new Middle is very strong and the 2 new OH’s are dynamic. Very athletic and when given a chance they will be crowd pleasers and Thelle was solid at setter. They need to be challenged to reach their potential.

I don’t follow NCAA Men’s Volleyball much, but I do know these facts: “No traditional D-I conferences sponsored men’s volleyball until the Big West Conference added the sport for the 2018 season.

In addition to the 23 D-I schools, 26 Division II schools are competing in D-I volleyball in the upcoming 2020 men’s volleyball season.

Division II does not have a separate national championship, and neither Division I nor II has a sufficient number of teams to sponsor a national championship without the other.”

Thus, I can see why it is important for DI teams to include DII teams (which are not necessarily weak teams) on their schedule, as NCAA Men’s Volleyball attempts to expand by being more “inclusive” rather than “exclusive.”

Just saw the schedule and checked on some of the other sports (Softball schedule did come out just now), and because of the big clusterbomb for men’s basketball, women’s basketball, men’s volleyball, baseball and softball schedules prepared already, this makes spending money quite a hassle to put up with. I have a friend who I have planned different events with the wait on the baseball, softball and men’s volleyball schedules coming aboard. Once I saw what they were going to deal with in the volleyball schedule, now it pondered over with the schematics with what to do. Here’s what I had going for:
CSF women’s basketball – Jan. 18
UCD men’s basketball – Jan. 25
UCR men’s basketball – Feb. 29
Cal Poly women’s basketball – Mar. 7
Chicago State baseball – Mar. 13
UCSD men’s volleyball – Mar. 27/28
Cal Poly softball – Apr. 3
UCI men’s volleyball – Apr. 17/18
And all of that is going to be taking place right after I quit Times in mid-December. The only hope I can think of is how I’m going to adapt with spending wisely, especially if I do intend on going to California sometime in early April 2020. It’s still a work in progress, but I’m trying to strategize with what to do with the set of games I’m plotting through.

LBS sweeps UCSB , and CP sweeps CSUN. LBS dangerous, should be a good match with UH next week.

10) Concordia-Irvine is not to be taken for granted. They are well coached, have some talent, and they had wins over BYU, Irvine, and Stanford last year. Let them into a match, and they can steal it.

And, Lincoln Memorial finished their season 18-7 last year, won their last 8, and went undefeated at home. When they played Hawai’i last year in Hawai’i, they had lost some of their players due to team rule violations while in Hawai’i. Still, they were very scrappy and Hawai’i came close to losing a set to them when playing their B squad in set three of their last match. They had to put the SVT back in to squeak out a 27-25 win. Hawai’i should completely respect Lincoln Memorial on their home court. It will be Hawai’i’s fourth road match in five days, so hardly a match for the Warriors to take lightly.
