OH WOW!!! It makes that win over Washington all the more sweet!!!
I hope Jolie will be able to play soon. We do miss her! Get better soon, but not too soon!
So when will they be announcing the RPI standings?

    GO BOWS!!!

No real RPI boost because of UW’s win; same impact as San Diego beating Gonzaga on Saturday. However, UW’s win helps with UW’s RPI ranking, and if UW remains a Top 25 RPI-ranked team on selection Sunday, UH’s RPI will get a double-bonus boost. USD is projected to be a 25-50 ranked RPI team on selection Sunday, so UH would get a single-bonus boost if that holds. These bonuses are also calculated every week but I tend not to pay too much attention as bonuses can change weekly depending on opponents’ results and RPI ranks.

I acknowledge that there is a major non-RPI boost from UW’s win, specifically the selection committee’s decisions on seeds/filling the bracket. The more UW wins, the better UH’s good win against the Huskies looks. In addition to rooting for UH, I especially want UW, USD and Missouri to keep on winning (for the same good win argument). Also want to see UCSB and Poly continue to win, except against UH, so they may get Top 50 RPI ranks, which would give UH more RPI bonuses.

I believe Washington is #8 in the latest AVCA rankings.

After struggling this past weekend, I wonder if the win over the Huskies was an anomaly.

    4. Rasmussen had 19 kills on .432 hitting against Washington. It is easier to play UH when Jolie is out. Plus the team was on a long road trip, and I am sure they were very tired, mentally and physically. On a positive note, they beat a top 25 team and went 3-1.

While it is not clear to what sports or all sports and not effective until 2023, the recruiting game just got a bit tougher. I hope everyone else follows once passed.

    4. don’t think it was anomaly. As Maverick points out, Rasmussen had a huge impact against the Huskies
Long road trip, a lot of young, new players who had never played at CSUN or Beach.
