Did the new uniforms arrive yet? The monochrome ones are pretty boring.
Not yet, which is why they’re still wearing what they’re wearing
Watching the USD-Nebraska stream…Huskers down 0-1…The graphics are really confusing with all those numbers and stats up top…
More big upsets…Wisconsin yesterday, Illinois yesterday & today…What’s going on with the Big 10?
USD up 2-1 against the Huskers…middle connection not working for Nebraska…
Nebraska wins in 5
Cindy, great article today about the two coaches. It’s amazing to hear the respect that Ah Mow has internationally. I think we all knew it here in Hawaii, but to see it validated is so awesome.
Love the persona details that you provided about Ah Mows love for cooking and her being in charge of the bbqs. lol. She was always the mother figure, it seems.
She really is making the Wahine her own and doing a great job at it.
Baylor is up two sets on Marquette at same. Baylor might be the biggest challenge in UH’s preseason.
I would like to see UH clean up their service game and for the setters to be more offensive.
Baylor, who took out host #4 Wisconsin on Friday, just swept #11 Marquette, who took out host #9 BYU last weekend and host #4 Wisconsin on Thursday. The silver lining for UH is that UH has improved more than BU; it’s going to take more than that to bring home the W in two weeks, however.
Yossiana Pressley will be NPOW…20 kills, 0 errors against Marquette…31 kills against Wisconsin…
I’m surprised Sac St beat Army. That’s sports. So maybe Wahine can beat Baylor. Never know.
I prefer channel 12 to channel 16 broadcasting the volleyball games. Channel 12 shows vb reruns while channel 16 just reruns for the day of the game–as far as I have seen. I like seeing the mens vb which is on reruns but I have missed a lot of post game interviews coming home and which I could see them.
Saw the BU vs Wisconsin match on TV here in the mainland and Yossiana Pressley is the beast. She particular good in throwing the ball to the deep corners when she is in trouble. She will give HI all we can handle. Our passing and defense in the back court needs to be stellar to have a chance
7. thank you. It is easy to forget how good Ah Mow was internationally since we only got to see her during the Olympics.
9. the UH setters cannot be more offensive. They are usually in the back row and any attack above the plane of the net would be illegal.
11. would be my guess too.
