Men’s volleyball: U.S. advances to Pan Am Cup quarters

The U.S. rebounded from Monday’s loss to Chile with a 25-20, 25-29, 25-20 sweep of the Dominican Republic on Tuesday in Colina, Mexico. The U.S. advances to today’s quarterfinal vs. Argentia (3 p.m. HST)
Former Hawaii setter Joe Worsley was one of the three setters used, joining Josh Tuaniga and Jonah Self. The U.S. hit .333.
Rainbow Warrior Colton Cowell had seven kills, three aces and a block. Cowell had four digs, Worsley 3 digs, an ace and a kill. Also on the roster former Warrior hitter Kupono Fey, who is training at libero.
Coaching the team is Warrior associate coach Milan Zarkovic.
