Hawaii football: 3-star athlete Kilohana Haasenritter is a 2020 commit for Warriors
The Warriors continue to boost the 2020 football-recruiting class with Hilo High’s Kilohana Haasenritter‘s recent commitment.
Haasenritter transferred from Kamehameha-Hawaii, where he was used as a running back, receiver and defensive back. He has been told he will compete at slotback and running back for the Warriors.
Haasenritter is 5-10 and 175 pounds. He received a 3-star rating from 247sports.com.
His uncles are former UH safety Mana Silva and ex-wideout Kana Silva. He said Mana Silva is among his trainers. Haasenritter also credits Asai Gilman, who helps prepare athletes on the recruiting track, and Jason Saturnio, who guides his morning workouts, many of which begin at 4 a.m.
All four of UH’s 2020 commits will be seniors at Hawaii high schools. Earlier, UH received pledges from offensive lineman Jake Tuatagaloa of Mililani High, wideout Tamatoa Mokiao-Atimalala of Campbell High, and outside linebacker Ezra Evaimalo of Kamehameha.
Welcome Kilohana!
Go Warriors!

I think the projection is 14 local players for. 2020 class, which would equal the 2000 total

Aloha Coach Tony Tuioti,
My name is Jaedon Garcia, a 6’3” 300 lbs O-Lineman out of Waianae High School with a 3.6 GPA. Please check out my highlights below. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
Big Island churns out some really good football players from time to time. Be a Warrior Kilo!
Let’s make it Polynesia’s team……Great news on the recruiting front. Keep them coming!
GUESS JAEDON GARCIA DOESN’T WANT TO STAY IN HAWAII.
FWIW: Hawaii in the top 5 for a certain 6-9 forward, along with Oregon, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech and Creighton. Nice to be in such great company. Time for coaching staff to work its magic.
4. 14 is a little too generous IMO. Unless Fiva Tulafale, Maceal Afaese, Shane Kady, Kamoi Latu, and Pokii Adkins Kapukaa are in that projection, 14 is too high. Those guys will all be very hard to land but possible.
12. Hope UH to be in his top 1.

Nice article on Lok Wur. Thanks for posting link. Article says he received 34 D1 offers and Hawaii in the mix to get him. Maybe coming from Nebraska he wants some beach time and learn to surf. Good enough reason to choose Hawaii.
ST, I think it’s pretty newsworthy that a recruit of Lok Wur’s caliber has included UH among his final five choices, especially considering that the schools that didn’t make the cut include Kansas, Miami, Houston, Nevada, Washington State, Georgia, DePaul, Iowa, Minnesota, and Rutgers. You may want to devote a Warrior World post to this, if not an article in the SA sports section. It couldn’t hurt to give the young man some local-style publicity as he’s making his decision, especially with his hometown press back in Omaha publicizing his interest in another of his five finalists, Creighton.
Lok wants to handle the ball and calls himself a guard per June 12 phenomhoop.com. Wants to do more than just score.
So let him be a guard
12.
I wish I didn’t know this.
Luc Longley, Bobby Lee Hurt, Benoit Benjamin.
Did I miss anybody? This is my timeline.
Adonal Foyle chose Colgate.
Rik Smits chose Marist.
18/19: Richard Washington chose UCLA over Hawaii … back in the day. Maybe UH is due. LOL
