Warrior Beat: Hawaii football gets commit from Kamehameha end
As a birthday present to his mother, Kamehameha’s Ezra Evaimalo announced his oral commitment to accept a 2020 football scholarship from the Rainbow Warriors.
“Basically, I tried to pay her back,” Evaimalo told the Warrior Beat today. “It doesn’t add to up what she’s done for me.”
Evaimalo, a junior, said he is 6 feet 2 and 225 pounds. He will play a hybrid defensive end/outside linebacker position for Kamehameha during his senior season this fall. As a 2020 recruit, the earliest he may sign a binding national letter of intent is in December.
Evaimalo will join Kamehameha alumni Kumoku Noa, Jonah Kahahawai-Welch and Tiger Peterson on the Warrior-to-Warrior pipeline.
Earlier, two-way athlete Tamatoa Mokiao-Atimalala of Campbell High made an oral pledge to sign with UH for the 2020 class.
GO WARRIORS !!!

So happy to see upper level Hawaii recruits pledge to stay home. Hope they don’t change their mind but maybe Rolo and staff are starting to turn the corner on local recruiting. Good job Coaches!
Spoke with Abu Maafala, and he likens Ezra to a bigger Kaimana Padello.
I’d say that’s a nice compliment.
Wow!…really looking like the “Home Team”!
Keep em coming!
yes keep them coming! Go Warriors!

Can’t have too many Warrior recruits, I say! I mua! (I might be just a little biased.)
Missed a couple of posts – good news in all of them.
GO WARRIORS!!!
okie dokie — keep ‘um coming!!
many, many years ago, several top D1 coaches were not afraid to say that if UH was able to keep all of their top 15 seniors at home, they would be “rated within” the top 15 teams each and every year
this has yet to happen, but it can start any year.
FB single year APR for 2017 dropped to 914 from 954.
4-yr average of 952 is okay, for now.

UH football at #107 is tied with UNLV, Arizona in APR ranking for 2017-18.

A big mahalo to Ezra and in committing to UH! Rolo just needs to keep on roloing.
Per an article in the SA today, Evaimalo is Samson Satele’s nephew. Better still! Terrific Warrior bloodlines!
Welcome Ezra Evaimalo and Tamatoa Mokiao-Atimalala to the home team!
Mahalo to tom-warriornation for his away game ticket efforts. I try to track his updates on my simplified Tsai-ko web page at:
