To reply from the previous thread, I should have explained my response more. I meant the quality of the story originally published with the OC Register was of “tabloid” material in my opinion. Grew up in Southern California myself so I’m familiar with the mentioned newspapers. For someone who calls himself an “investigative” reporter, how that article was written is bothersome.

I hope p1440 fixed their video streaming problems. Yesterday’s streaming was awful. constant freezing of video and audio all day long, and numerous complaints from others about it on the Volleytalk forum.

My heart hurts for the coach, his family and his players. At a time when it should be the greatest point in his career, he is dealing with a big injustice in his career. Life is so not fair.

    Sheesh they got completely obliterated

    1. I do think it was sensationalized and misleading. Since SafeSport has no authority over the NCAA to write that “despite being under suspension Wade still is allowed to coach. There never was a question that he wouldn’t be coaching because of the investigation. The protocol is to suspend someone while there was an investigation but it is only a suspension from USAV or USOC events.
    4. playing Long Beach State now. See main box.

    Scoles out of the lineup.

This is not good. Prayers to her!

  7. Cindy Luis April 27, 2019 9:41 am

So apparently the injury is to Scoles

Does LMU has auto-bid to NCAA’s? and then Pepperdine gets an at-large….
But even if LMU doesn’t have an auto bid, would they take LMU before Pepperdine because of the WCC title?
If LMU doesnt’ get in, I estimate that SandBows should make it to Gulf Shores, win or lose.

West 3 would be USC, UCLA, Pepperdine
East 3 would be Florida State, LSU, and Stetson

2 at-large would be Cal Poly and UH

    current #9 Florida International (0-1), #10 Cal (0-2), and #11 LMU (0-2) vs. UH

  9. Warriorfan April 27, 2019 11:22 am

There are no conference auto bids in beach volleyball yet.

  10. Cindy Luis April 27, 2019 3:00 pm

    8. no auto bids
    West UCLA, SC, for sure
LMU def. Pepperdine twice for the WCC title
Hall seemed to think the last at-large is between Hawaii, LMU and FIU.

Scoles is being evaluated. Was told it was a back thing.

  12. Hawaiian Style April 27, 2019 3:23 pm

imo it will come down to both Poly and Hawaii for the two.

a couple of things- as variables- have to fall into place first.

    1) UCLA has to get the #1 seed lol. this will toss SC out from the bubble.

LMU as suggested has to be considered as well. they and Cal are about further on the outside bubble than any of the other teams being rumored.

    2) the committee should evaluate the two tourney’s which both UCLA/USC participated in re: West vs East-types. it shows the westcoast as dominant. ’19 LBS-mediocre is on the same level as Stetson.
**all bets are off if The committee insists on keeping it four & four, bi coastal.

FIU may not have been able to capably challenge the sport of NCAA WBVB. I do believe that it is either the Panthers or the Hatters invited (not both).

  13. Hawaiian Style April 27, 2019 3:29 pm

Last season the BWC was hoping for two. It looked liked per usual’s it was either LBS or Poly + UH.

the BWC went a bit shafted last season. LBS should have danced. the 49ers are forever scheduling JC teams however.

  14. Hawaiian Style April 28, 2019 7:43 am

edit: UH is on their way home.

Cindy just posted w/in minutes, on another blog, w/ such a pilau mouth at that (mostly), UH is out. 🙁

  16. Cindy Luis April 28, 2019 11:38 am

    14. I have no idea what you’re talking about. I didn’t post on another blog.
