Hatcher leaving Hawaii News Now
Sports anchor/reporter Taryn Hatcher is leaving Hawaii News Now after three years.
Hatcher will announce her future plans after they are finalized this week.
“We knew when we hired her right out of Rutgers University at the ripe old age of 22, that she was just at the outset of what promised to be a great career,” HNN general manager Rick Blangiardi said. “Her first three years with us have been terrific”

Darn! It was fun while it lasted but we all knew she wouldn’t be here for long. Way too good and *cough cough* good looking to stay stuck in Hawaii. Good luck Taryn! Will be fun watching you make a splash on an even bigger stage.
(first!)
Good luck to Taryn – well that’s what happens when HNN basically eliminated their sports segment ! very sad
Taryn Hatcher is an up and coming sports reporter and newscaster.
I missed her since HNN eliminated sports on their regular daily broadcast. Wishing Taryn the best.

Got this email from Rolo:
Tom,
Received your email from my mom. Can’t tell you how thankful we are for what you have done throughout the years. I would like to pledge $500 to the account. Please put a $50 in the name of all the assistant coaches, I will let them know. Appreciate it.

Can you help me reach my goal by making a $25 donation to the UH Foundation Fund I created for UH Football recruiting–see below link.
If 2000 fans do this, we will raise $50,000. So far, I got 657 donors ($16,425), so only 1343 more donors to go–each donor spot represents $25.
After donating, text me your name to 415-324-0585 or email your receipt to: tomkitaguchi@yahoo.com so I can add it below (if you don’t mind):

From yesterday, Suckkabooya, it’s ok. He’s a fan in his own world with the green sky.
With the departures of Hatcher and Spangler, Hawaii sports TV has lost a third of its sportscasters
Aloha Taryn! Good luck to you in the future!
She was the best thing to happen to local sports in a long time. Good luck and look forward to seeing her on live national broadcasts someday.
Austin Matautia to UCLA vb team.
Aloha Taryn! I knew someone as good as you wouldn’t be staying, especially since Rick B. was stupid enough to get rid of the sports department.
RE: #11
He stated it wasn’t due to playing time. Bunch of shibai.
eh, barely got to know you Taryn …. Good Luck!!
11 / 13 I think our Kāne volleyball is upgrading on some talent. If a player doesn’t want to be here, that player will not give all that they’ve got. So I wish Austin well and hope he’s happy. Can’t wait to see our guys!!!

Easy does it, Brent Musburger.
Just kidding.
I don’t do emojis.

I decided to hate Lavar Ball forever after he made Kristine Leahy cry on live television.
Collin Harmon was good too, i thought. According to LinkedIn,he now works for RKT Media, Honolulu, HI.

Isn’t this like trespassing or something?
has this been posted ?
The University of Hawaii football team will be without two heralded receivers this coming season, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser has learned.
Kalakaua Timoteo, who was named to the Star-Advertiser’s All-State first team in 2014 and ‘15, and Isaia Leeth, who once was considered one of Oregon’s top high school receivers, did not meet the academic requirements to continue playing for the Rainbow Warriors. They are no longer on football scholarship.
#19 That’s why the pro spring leagues coming out in the next couple years will be a good thing for player’s with talent that just want to tryout and play.
The level of academic support offered or available today, you really have to show disinterest in order to fail. I have known many and school is not for them. Idle hours are not filled with “good” activity generally speaking. Best of luck to them both. No wailing or gnashing of teeth, fill the roster with guys that belong and want to compete while doing the right things-not worried at all! GoWarriors
Taryn and I dated for awhile but I was just too much man for her. She needs to leave now move on with her life and get over me. Will probably take her a lifetime. Better to have loved and lost then never have loved Manoa Mist.
Cheers.
She would be a good sideline reporter for NFL broadcasts. She can pronounce Polynesian names really good. She would also match at FS1, little more contemporary than espn. Remember us here in Hawaii when you become big time. Good luck Taryn
