Because of the overwhelming number of spring graduates in recent years, graduation day is now split into two sessions. Not all the student-athlete graduates participated in the ceremony or the athletic department’s festivities.

Here’s a list of the spring/summer football graduates:

Spring:

> Luke Clements

> Dylan Collie

> Jackson Dionne

> Asotui Eli

> John Estes (master’s)

> Jett Jasper (master’s)

> Meffy Koloamatangi

> Daniel Lewis

> Kainoa McDonald

> Kealoha Pilares

> Rigo Sanchez

Summer:

> Dru Brown

> Elijah Dale

Daniel Lewis said he accepted an offer to join Louisiana Tech as a graduate transfer. Lewis said he wanted to play his senior season closer to family in Louisiana.

Collin Ashworth is weighing the option of returning to UH next season. Ashworth, who suffered a season-ending ankle injury, is on track to receiving a waiver for a sixth season.

While all the grads are to be congratulated, I was especially happy to see Kealoha Pilares’ name in there.

    Great going Kealoha!

I think it’s hard (impossible actually) to resent any player who transfers because they want their family to be able to see them play. Good luck to Daniel Lewis. Represent for your family.

#7….especially someone like Danny. He is a solid dude. Graduated in four years, is a great citizen of the community and a very good DB.

He fulfilled his commitment to UH by playing here 4 years and graduating. That is all is asked from freshmen they signed on to be a Warrior.

Now it’s time for him to go home and share some special moments with those who supported him from afar.

Mahalo Danny and Thanks for all you have given to UH and Hawaii.

    We going to miss you!

congrats to all UH athletes who graduated yesterday be it be it UH Hilo or UH Manoa!

any extra time away from the classroom to practice, attend meetings, take trips — it all adds up to spending extra time studying — well done!!!

and, to Kealoha Pilares — you made your parents proud!!!

I thought Uskali was good to go?

Hawaii could have packed it in, but they played sometimes inspired baseball.

    Nice job.
