Farrington d-lineman to join Warriors
Farrington defensive lineman Fo‘i Sila will be joining the Warriors as a preferred walk-on this summer.
Sila played end and tackle for the Governors in 2017.
“He hits hard,” Farrington coach Randall Okimoto said. “He’s a hard hitter and he hustles. And he has good grades. He was one of our captains and leaders.”
Sila is 6 feet and 270 pounds. Okimoto said he has the potential to be like Lance Samuseva, who played for the Governors and the Warriors.
“He has to work on conditioning (because) he gained some weight, which was good to play on the inside,” Okimoto said.
Sila trains under both the Farrington staff and Chad Ikei.

On this penultimate recruiting weekend, the Warriors played host to four prospects.
The signing period begins Feb. 7.
ST, welcome back. I hope that your health is top shape. I am one of many that would check the blog everyday if there was anything new.
It’s good to have a Farrington player. They know how to work hard.
Welcome back ST!! I really missed your writings but understand your health is always more important.
had my own cardiac scare over the last two months which just came to a prognosis last week. Everyone should listen to their bodies and and have it checked if you sense something is different.
I like all these preferred walk-ones. You can be assured that they will get a scholarship soon with all these transfers opening up scholarships.
Like the addition of Fo’i Sila as a PWO. I’ll take guys like him-give him a chance over others that no longer wear my Jersey of choice. Welcome young man, be part of the revival!!!! GoWarriors!!!!
Any update on Austin Webb?
Great that the Blog Host with the Most is back in action.
Thought from yesterday cause I think slowly: for 2017, Zwahlen, Reilly, Hagar, Kauhi, and Tupai left for various reasons, and Taylor, Gifford, and Tago were asked to leave. This year so far, Brown, Brownholtz, Collie, Kipper, and Santiago have announced departure. In numbers, it seems par for the course. In PT, higher than usual, but still in line with expected graduation+turnover of 20-30 each year.
Nice to have a Governor on the team! Good luck to Fo’i!
Welcome Mr. Sila; and welcome back, of course ST.
Can you help me reach my goal by making a $25 donation to the UH Foundation Fund I created for UH Football recruiting–see below link.
If 2000 fans do this, we will raise $50,000. So far, I got 534 donors ($13,350), so only 1466 more donors to go–each donor spot represents $25.
After donating, text me your name to 415-324-0585 or email your receipt to: tomkitaguchi@yahoo.com so I can add it below (if you don’t mind):

Welcome Back
Hmmmmm……..? Hawaii outrecruited by Eastern Michigan for 2 receivers? Not looking good. What’s up Rolo?
Hope Mermea stays I want to see him play for the Warriors, is he homesick? Anyway good to have you back Mr. Tsai.
Did Sila have any FBS offers?
I did not watch the pro bowl game but heard
on the radio they had over 50,000 attendance.
Wonder if Hawaii will ever get it back.
