Barker returns to the Rose Bowl
Wideout Ammon Barker has come full circle as he prepares for tomorrow’s game against UCLA at the Rose Bowl.
In 2012, Barker made a verbal commitment to sign with UCLA. In November that year, he made his official visit. He stayed with the team in the hotel the night before the rivalry game against USC. He also was on the sideline for that game. After that, his commitment was considered to be a done deal.
But then the point recruiter accepted a coaching position at Washington. His departure, it turned out, meant the offer to Barker was rescinded.
Barker still had offers from several Mountain West schools. But after visiting Hawaii, Barker decided to become a Warrior.
His family said Barker has expressed no regrets about the turn of events. “He never looked back,” Bart Barker said of his son.

The Bruins came back from a 38-10 halftime deficit behind Rosen’s 292-yard, four-touchdown fourth quarter. Well, I haven’t been here on WB in awhile (just got too many things going on at the moment :/ ) but I’m at my annual season ticket seat again this year really enjoying the coaching efforts on field and even the ones off the field especially this year 🙂 We’ve sure got one creative coach in Rolo and all those behind-the-scene also-responsible Et als I also appreciate! 🙂
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to make it to the game there at the Rose Bowl tomorrow so today I’m spending the day getting my positive mind-thoughts into gear hoping tomorrow will be the day we do our major win against the UCLA!
